I believe that our school shares the responsibility with families to build students' character and assist boys and girls to to make good choices. We don't expect children to behave perfectly, just to do their best and strive to get better each day. Our staff works hard to make Mack a safe place for children to learn how the world works. Sometimes that means that students learn what it feels like to be disappointed, frustrated, or even angry. It is okay for youngsters to have these feelings, as long as they do not let their emotions overwhelm them. Often the best way to help children is to support them as they work through such feelings and help them decide on a positive course of action. As a staff we know that we can assist our students to acquire a variety of tools to use as they navigate their lives well beyond Nate Mack. To that end, we directly teach students eighteen life skills:

The Family and Community Engagement Services (FACES) is a new department in the Clark County School District. We know that students thrive when their families are engaged in helping them learn. Family engagement is a partnership recognizing the collaboration between family, school and community to make sure every student succeeds.
The Nate Mack community works together to meet the individual needs of all students by building meaningful academic, personal, and cultural connections. These connections are made through classroom instruction, integrated technology, and unique experiences that promote global awareness.
To prepare our students for the demands of the 21st century, we use data to drive standards-based instruction and maximize growth in all students. Students strive to meet high academic expectations and personal goals.
